Update: We have been blown away by the response so far! Thank you to everyone who has donated.  We have increased our goal to send 50 students to school for a year.  Gold coin donations from our casual day next Friday will also be added to our team total.

We as a college at Faith Lutheran College’s Middle/Senior Campus are stepping out to bring love to life through the Walk OUR Way challenge!

On Friday the 12th of June, each of our 20 village caregroups, which include both students and staff, will collectively walk 26 laps of our school ovals as part of our Gratitude Week.

We are doing this to raise money to help send a refugee child to school through ALWS. (ALWS is Australian Lutheran World Service, the overseas aid and development agency of the Lutheran Church of Australia).

It's only $26 to help provide a teacher, textbook and table for one pre-school child living in a refugee camp in East Africa. Many of these kids were born here, and know no other life. Some even arrived alone, without a mum or dad. We would like to raise at least $26 per village to send at least 20 refugees to school.

We want to help in a practical way that changes lives - and we know we can do just that!
